Pixi Beauty: Must Have Mists

Keep your skin hydrated, protected and refreshed with Pixi beauty face mist

What ever the season your skin is effected by the elements, UV from the sun, air conditioning and heating is all taking moisture out of our skin causing it to look dull, dehydrated or even red from sunburn. Pixi beauty has 5 mists that sit perfectly alongside your skincare routine.

Hydrating Milky Mist

The hydrating Milly mist is super light and can be applied AM before your moisturiser or make-up or throughout the day to hydrate and give an instant moisture surge.
Like the other mists the bottle is 80ml so perfect for travel and this will be in my flight bag this week to hep combat the air conditioned plane drying my skin out and a few spritz after a long haul flight will be prefect to awaken you and your skin.
With the addition of linoleic acid this mist is perfect for dryer skin as it provides anti-inflammatory, moisturising and heeling properties.

The Face Mist Range

Vitamin wake up mist: Apply any time to cool, hydrate and refresh, Orange blossom water is perfect as a toner for oily skin so spritz onto skin after cleansing.

Sun mist: With SPF 30 this is prefect for extra protection and hydration throughout the day.
Glow mist: Enriched with natural oils spay onto face or hair for a glowy finish that provides nourishment and hydration. Can be used throughout the day.

Make-up fixing mist: Overall mist used to set make-up

My Pixi beauty skincare

Alongside the face mists I use several other Pixi products that I like to use. For the mornings I use the Rose Toner to refresh my skin before applying the Day Dew moisturiser which is amazing, not only does it provide excellent hydration but leaves the skin absolutely glowing all day, it makes the perfect base for make-up leaving a dewy finish.
For the evenings I like to follow my cleansing with the glow tonic, this has a gentle exfoliating effect on the skin making it prefect to allow absorption of other products so I follow up with the Rose Oil Blend as my night oil providing excellent hydration and helps restore the skin leaving it glowing.

Have you use any Pixi products?

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Fight skin pollution with Clinique

When we think of skin protection we immediately think of sun protection and as a leading cause of skin damage and premature aging you can see why but what about protection from pollution too?

Clinique.co.uk

Science

The top layer of your skin is made up of 5 layers called the epidermis which is responsible for cell regeneration and provides a barrier to the deeper layers. This barrier is not shield proof and sunburn is a great example to show how fragile the skin really is. Our skin is covered in tiny pores to allow excretion at the surface but this can also allow free-radicals to penetrate and attack causing damage.
Pollution factors are often neglected but should not be ignored. Pollution effects on the skin include, dryness, premature skin aging, rashes, acne and eczema.
Pollution particles (free-radicals) can sometimes be small enough to penetrate deeper layers of the epidermis and pollution from traffic is considered the most harmful and is not only linked to premature aging but also pigmentation of the skin. You may not be a smoker but smoke pollution is also damaging to your skins health and plays a part in hydration loss.

What can we do

Let's think of the skin as a sponge, without anything our sponge has hollows which is not only open to attack but also has no fullness and can look dry/dehydrated.
A full sponge starts with good cleansing, there is not point in layering up products onto dead skin cells.
Cleansing daily and exfoliating the skin twice a week will allow products to penetrate into the skins layers where they need to actually work and that’s where Clinique's new dramatically different hydrator jelly comes into play.

Clinique dramatically different hydrator jelly

Cliniques’ hydrator jelly is fast absorbing and leaves no sticky residue so is perfect to layer under your moisturiser. It will repair the skin's barrier to help lock in good and filter out the bad with Clinique's ‘clean Shield ™’ technology your skin is 87% less vulnerable to skin damaging pollution and day after day the skins condition improves to reveal healthy glowing skin.

After cleansing applying a layer of the new hydrator will plump our sponge (yes I'm back to the sponge) and create a perfect base for additional moisturisers or make-up.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the UK launch of this product by Clinique within Jarrolds Norwich. I got to see the product in action and it fully passed the tissue test showing full absorption in the skin!
Thank you so much to Nic the Clinique manager for the invitation and if you want to discover the range and live within Norwich then pay the fabulous team a visit.

The Summer Suit: Michelle Keegan

Suits are the look of the moment, trousers and skirts teamed with matching blazers give a sharp classic style for day or night so when I spotted the short suit from the Michelle Keegan collection I thought it would be a perfect addition to any summer wardrobe.
The gorgeous bright coral screams summer and the shorts are not what I call 'short shorts' so if like me you are not a fan of showing bum cheek then you will love this pair.
The double breasted blazer is lightweight and will add warmth on cooler days and teamed my suit with converse to give a laid-back style for day but I will be styling with heels for summer evenings.
